Ann Timmons has performed in solo theatre works since 1979. Prior to a successful Off Broadway run of Off the Wall in 1992, she toured to Lincoln Center and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where she was lauded by critics for her "engaging and spirited performance." Ann has also performed extensively in regional theatre, in productions ranging from the American premiere of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby at the Great Lakes Festival Theatre, to eight Gilbert & Sullivan operettas with The Ohio Light Opera Company, Six Degrees of Separation at The Rep Stage (Columbia, Maryland), and Holiday Memories with the Olney Theatre Company. On film she has worked with Oliver Stone (Wall Street), Rob Reiner (When Harry Met Sally), and Woody Allen (Alice). Television credits include Saturday Night Live, Another World, Law and Order, and Homicide: Life on the Street. Ann has toured the country as a national spokesperson for General Motors and a variety of corporate clients.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wellesley College, Ms.Timmons also trained at London's prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama, and holds an M.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Illinois. She has taught Theatre at American University, the University of the District of Columbia, and public and private schools throughout Northern Virginia. As a visiting artist touring the country with Off the Wall, she has led a variety of acting, voice, and performance workshops.

In addition to Off the Wall, Ms. Timmons has written a number of plays for solo and duo performance, including Shaw's Women and Beyond Shadowlands. More recent projects include The Home/Place Play and The Jamestown Adventure Express, currently on tour as part of America's 400th Anniversary Celebration. Committed to the concept of theatre as a tool for enlightenment as well as entertainment, she celebrates one of America's most creative revolutionaries in Off the Wall: The Life and Works of Charlotte Perkins Gilman.

Ann is a member of Actors' Equity Association, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Screen Actors Guild, and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association.
